“Emily in... Megève! Although the most Parisian American woman likes to escape the capital, she had never tried winter sports before. After Giverny and Saint-Tropez, the sequel to season 4 of the Netflix series Emily in Paris takes millions of viewers to the heart of the Mont-Blanc Massif Country. For her first descents on the French slopes, Emily Cooper, the main character, sets off for Megève and its surroundings.”

“The French Alps in the spotlight”

In March 2023, the young American woman abandoned the Eiffel Tower for the mountains. For three days, the film crew, made up of more than 120 people, invaded the heart of the Alps. ”We were contacted by the production because some actors knew our station well. It gave us a little boost, but we know we weren't the only ones in the running. I think we were chosen because, like Paris, we represent the French way of life.”, recognizes Caroline Denat, director of the Megève Tourist Office.

In the trailer recently unveiled, we can see the village square under the snow as well as the famous red cabin of the cable car leading to Rochebrune. Other iconic locations, such as the high-altitude restaurant Idéal 1850 (Edmond de Rothschild Heritage/Four Seasons Megève Collection) and the five-star Chalet des Fermes de Marie (Maisons & Hôtels Sibuet), also served as decor. ”We joined the project because we know the quality of the images in the series and we knew that the production would value what is most beautiful.”, specifies the director. Nearly 116 extras, most of them local, took part in the filming. ”There was even an 80-year-old ski instructor from the region who wanted to be there, everyone played along.”, she says with enthusiasm.”
